About Our QR Code Generator

What is a QR Code?

A QR (Quick Response) code is a two-dimensional barcode that can store various types of information, such as a website link, plain text, or contact details. It can be quickly scanned and read by a smartphone camera, providing a seamless bridge between the physical and digital worlds. Unlike traditional 1D barcodes, QR codes can store significantly more data and can be scanned from any direction.

High-Resolution and Customizable

Our generator creates crisp, high-quality QR codes suitable for both digital use and print. You can download your code as a scalable vector graphic (SVG) for perfect clarity at any size, or as a standard PNG image. Customize the colors to match your brand or design aesthetic for a more personalized touch.

Understanding Error Correction

QR codes have a built-in error correction capability that allows them to be scanned even if they are partially damaged or obscured. There are four levels of error correction:

  • Low (L): Recovers up to 7% of damaged data.
  • Medium (M): Recovers up to 15% of damaged data.
  • Quartile (Q): Recovers up to 25% of damaged data.
  • High (H): Recovers up to 30% of damaged data.

Our generator uses the 'High' (H) level by default, which is robust enough to allow for small logos to be placed in the center of the code without affecting scannability.

How It Works

  • Enter Your Data: Type or paste the URL, text, or other information you want to encode into the input field.
  • Customize (Optional): Adjust the size and colors of your QR code to fit your needs.
  • Download Your Code: Click to download your high-quality QR code as a PNG or SVG file, ready for use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? We have answers.

Do the generated QR codes expire?
No, they do not. The QR codes generated here are static and directly encode the data you provide. They will work forever and are not dependent on our service once created.
What is the difference between PNG and SVG?
PNG is a standard image format that is great for web use, but it can lose quality if scaled up too much. SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) is an image format based on vectors, which means you can resize it to any dimension—from a tiny icon to a giant billboard—without any loss of quality. For print, SVG is almost always the better choice.
Can I add a logo to the center?
This basic generator does not support adding a logo directly. However, QR codes have a built-in error correction feature. You can manually place a small logo in the center using any image editor, and as long as it doesn't cover more than 15-20% of the code, it should still be scannable.
